How to uninstall PC Fix Speed?

0
Edit----
herd was finally able to delete all traces as far as i know!

Ive tried to manually delete this "program" that i caught on my computer. The uninstall option disappeared after first use. Ive used the "uninstall program" utility and i get C:\Program Files (86x)\PCFixSpeed\unins000.msg  "is missing". Please correct the problem or obtain of a new copy of the program. I have also looked up cmd.exe script to uninstall the thing (im pretty sure this is possible except for this program - but i could be wrong). I now have Norton Anti Virus/ Internet Security, Microsoft Security Essentials, and herdProtect trying to figure it out as well as using "Should i Remove This" (the place i found out about herd) to remove it with the same message, but the program still runs in my task manager processes so it must be there still. Help me! This is by far the most annoying thing ive had the pleasure of finding and erasing on my computer

PC Fix Speed from Crawler / PCRx.com, LLC (a known crapware distributor) is known to be included with a number of 3rd party software installers which is how you probably got it. While it looks like the installer somehow broke, which is why you can't simply use add-remove program of Windows, you should be able to clean it out pretty easily. Just follow the steps below to remove this from your computer.
  1. Run a herdProtect scan. After the scan completes locate any files, even those under the inconclusive section that are located in the folder C:\Program Files\pcfixspeed\ or C:\Program Files (x86)\pcfixspeed\ and remove these. Also look for any files that are published by Crawler LLC.
  2. Next, locate the C:\Program Files\pcfixspeed\ or C:\Program Files (x86)\pcfixspeed\ folders (you probably only have one of those, and delete the entire folder. The folder should contain the following files:
    • PCFixSpeed.exe
    • PCFixTray.exe
    • unins000.exe
    • Update (folder)
  1. Locate the program in add-remove program that is called 24x7 Help, this might be installed along side PCFixSpeed and is the annoying little icon that is always shown on the top of each window asking you to connect with technical support. If you have this installed, uninstall it.
Note, you will also want to remove anything else on your computer from Crawler as well as PCRx.com as PC Fix will also in many cases bundle the Crawler Toolbar.
