My Computer Sounds Sick!!HELP?

0

My computer is a HP all in one and has been sounding like a car engine revving the gas petal.

But long before this I had some virus and downloaded Malewarebytes and ran a scan. There were several virus's detected and thought I removed them. I also have this About:blank page which I believe is some kind of malware. I have my antivirus that was installed when I received the computer and I don't believe it works because it just continues to scan until I finally shut it down.(hours on end) I really cant afford to have it looked at right now :(

I'm not much of a computer person in this respect at all and hoping someone could please help. Maybe someone who feels like a puzzle for the day.

I would be so appreciative to anyone who could help me I am starting to feel it may just stop working all together.

Thank you for your time and consideration,

T.

Sounds like a fan or drive is failing - Take the side cover off (if it is a tower) and see if you can isolate where the sound is coming from - there are few moving parts so roll up a piece of paper into a tube and use it like a stethoscope when the sound starts.

better yet, also try and give it a good clean. Get a special spray and vacuum cleaner and just clean out the fan as well as the heatsink on the cpu.

keep me posted
